HUMANS FROM OUR WORLD is an art project created by Nathanaël Sapey-Triomphe to celebrate life through encounters, questions, time, travel, nature, and sport.
Constantly seeking new experiences, Nath has always pursued the purity and rarity of fragile moments, engraving them in his heart and through time.
Blending photography, writing, and drawing originally never meant to be shared this project is an intimate glimpse into the artist’s world.
This first edition, captured entirely on film during a timeless journey through Ecuador in 2021, intertwines high-altitude exploration with human connection.
From farmers to indigenous communities, from towering summits to fleeting conversations, each image tells a story, each thought echoes a feeling.
These are not just words they are thoughts scribbled in the margins of a journey, fragments of an inner monologue shaped by the solitude of the mountains and the warmth of human connection.
"Time passes. We grow, we age. We can’t stop it or slow it down, but we can make the most of it—because once today is over, it will never return."
Through HUMANS FROM OUR WORLD, Nath invites us to pause, reflect, and embrace the fleeting nature of life.
To wonder about the meaning of our journeys. Are we running away or searching for something?

Au détour de son exposition, intitulée Extrêm-ités,
Nathanaël Sapey-triomphe s’applique à s’inscrire dans une démarche de photographie humaniste.
Extrêm-ités, c’est le récit d’un parallèle. De parallèles multiples, qui s’articulent entre les particularités de l’humain aux différents âges de la vie. Notamment la beauté de l’enfance, qui fait écho directement à la manière dont les grands emploient la passion d’une pratique, d’une aventure, afin de grandir sans perdre la magie qui s’opère dans les yeux d’un enfant.
Les extrêmes, comme procédé utilisé pour ne pas renoncer aux élans et aux bêtises valorisées dans l’enfance : retrouver ce même brillant dans le regard, la pureté de la peur, de l’appréhension, la facilité d’agir, un soupçon d’insouciance.
Les extrêmes, comme système d’action érigé pour continuer à s’émerveiller, à transgresser, à bouleverser.
Face à ce parallèle, d’autres s’emmêlent.
Les chamboulements géographiques en expédition les rencontres qui y sont associées. Partager avec les anciens, les sachants, c’est comme un saut vers l’inconnu.
Chaque expédition est le prétexte d’une longue introspection, apprendre à se faire face, tout en croisant le chemin des autres.
